Shefali Jariwala dies: Actor-model Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42 on June 27. According to initial reports, the actor died following a cardiac arrest.

Shefali was reportedly rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, and three others, where doctors later declared her dead.

Shefali Jariwala is best known for her performance in the music video of “Kaanta Laga”, the iconic early 2000s hit. The song even earned her the title of ‘Kaanta Laga Girl.’ She then featured in Salman Khan’s Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Later, she even participated in the reality show hosted by Salman, Bigg Boss 13, where she remained in the limelight because of her previous history with one of the contestants, Sidharth Shukla. The two had dated each other previously.

In 2004, Shefali got married to musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers fame but parted ways in 2009. In 2015, she got married to actor Parag Tyagi.

Celebrities took to social media to mourn Shefali Jariwala’s passing. “I’m deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart… Our beloved star and my dearest friend @shefalijariwala has left us. Still can’t believe it. You will always be remembered for your grace, smile, and spirit. Om Shanti,” singer Mika Singh paid his tribute on X. Shortly after, more celebrities joined in, including Rajiv Adatia, Kamya Panjabi, Aly Goni, expressing shock and grief over the actor’s sudden demise.

Actor Divyanka Tripathi wrote, “It’s unbelievable. We are shocked and sad for the family.” “Absolutely stunned to hear my friend Shefali Jariwala is no more. I last met her at a party. Life is so short. She was in #BiggBoss13 with me. Incredible how #SidharthShukla and now she, from my season, are no more. Sending love and healing to her loved ones!” Tehseen Poonawalla commented.
