When my dear Lalettan and Suchichechi entrusted me with their beloved Maya’s debut film, I saw the sheer joy and hope that filled their eyes. I won’t let you down, Lalettan and Chechi. I’m not making any grand claims; this is a small, humble film. I have always made films that speak to my heart, and this one is no different.Antony Chetta, I sincerely hope this marks the ‘beginning’ of an ‘Antony-Jude’ collaboration.”

Prior to films, Vismaya dabbled in fine arts and poetry. Her poetry collection, Grains of Stardust, was published by Penguin Random House India on February 14, 2021.
Talking about the poetry book in an interaction with PTI, Vismaya said, “Grains of Stardust came together unexpectedly. I didn’t sit down with the intention to write a poetry book. As you’ll see when you read them, they are very simply written. They are poems that I sometimes typed out on my phone waiting for the subway or while I was listening to a beat that I liked, or words that came to me when I was looking at a painting or at nature.”
“I wrote a lot of them when I was younger and it was only when I looked through some old sketchbooks that I got the idea from my brother to put some of them together and make a little artsy book,” she added.
