Ranveer Singh is back — and this time, with full force. On the actor’s birthday on Sunday, the makers of Dhurandhar gifted fans the much-awaited first look video of the film. The intense clip showcases Ranveer in a somber, menacing avatar, fully geared up for revenge. As he takes on enemies with swift and brutal moves, the film’s impressive ensemble cast featuring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal also make their presence felt.
The 2-minute-40-second gritty video is set to a Punjabi rap that elevates the impact of the intense action sequences. Ranveer, with long hair, a thick beard, and a cigarette in hand, looks menacing. He is seen working at a restaurant, seemingly lying low before springing into action. He delivers intense lines like, “Ghayal hoon isliye Ghatak hoon.” The video escalates with a barrage of violent scenes, including one particularly brutal moment where a group of men pushes another man into boiling hot water. Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal also make powerful appearances in the clip.

Fans expressed their excitement for Ranveer Singh’s next film. A fan wrote, “Ranveer Singh comeback loading 🔥🔥🔥.” Another comment read, “What an insane casting😱.” Earlier, in a conversation with NDTV, Arjun Rampal spoke about working with Ranveer on Dhurandhar and praised his performance. He said, “Ranveer is in top form and you haven’t seen this version of him anywhere… get ready.”
Dhurandhar marks Ranveer’s return to a lead role after a two-year gap. He was last seen playing the lead in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He also made a cameo appearance in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which released in 2024. Prior to Rocky Aur Rani, Ranveer faced a rough patch at the box office with underperforming films like Cirkus (2022) and Jayeshbhai Jordaar (2022). However, with Dhurandhar’s high-intensity teaser and a powerful ensemble, this could be Ranveer’s big comeback moment.
Dhurandhar is scheduled to release on December 5, 2025. The film is directed, produced, and written by Aditya Dhar, best known for the Vicky Kaushal-starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike. Dhurandhar marks Aditya’s second directorial venture and is co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.
