About five months ago, a video of actress Shraddha Kapoor flying economy with her rumoured boyfriend Rahul Mody surfaced online. The two were seen twinning in white, quietly checking something on Shraddha’s phone. The candid moment had caught the internet’s attention at the time. But now, the same video is back in circulation and creating buzz all over again—this time for a different reason.
The clip was recently reshared by an Instagram page, and it found its way to veteran actress Raveena Tandon’s feed. In the video, an airline staff member is seen secretly recording Shraddha and Rahul while also turning the camera on herself and smiling. This didn’t sit well with Raveena. She called out the crew member in the comments section, writing, “This is a breach of privacy. The crew should know better than to do this. Consent must be taken. Not expected from crew members to do this.”
Her comment sparked a mixed reaction from social media users. While many applauded her for standing up for the couple’s right to privacy, others felt she overreacted.
A few of her fans backed her stance, and wrote, “You are right!” “Absolutely agree with Raveena ma’am. You should learn to give privacy! They are not 24/7 stars… they are humans too and need their own time and space.”
However, other users backed the airline crew. A comment read, “Ma’am, the person in the video doesn’t seem to have a problem. Why do you?” Another comment read, “The video was taken in a flight, not in someone’s home. A flight is public transport. She’s a public figure—fans capturing such moments isn’t a crime. Cabin crew members are humans too.”
Meanwhile, Shraddha and Rahul’s relationship continues to quietly blossom. In a recently shared video, eagle eyed fans spotted Rahul in the background as Shraddha danced playfully. The couple was also seen together at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar last year.
In 2024, Shraddha Kapoor confirmed being in a relationship during an interview with Cosmopolitan. Speaking about her attachment style, the Stree 2 star said, “Maybe you will need my significant other in this conversation… Like, you’d have to ask him to be very honest. But I think I have a few Pisces traits—one wherein I definitely love the typical fairytale aspect of love, which is out of this world. You know, the kind where you’re like, as long as I have you, I don’t need anyone else.”
Talking about her relationship habits, Shraddha shared, “I really love spending time with my partner—watching a movie, going out for dinner, or travelling. I’m generally someone who enjoys doing things together… or even just being together without doing anything.”
