Many Indian stars and celebrities of Indian descent have been making it big all over the world, and Priyanka Chopra is a prime example of this. It’s understandable why everyone would love for Priyanka to continue retaining her Indian culture and habits, but she has also embraced her life in the West. During an interview, the actor played a ‘would you rather’ game where Indian delicacies were pitted against popular snacks consumed in the US. Her choices did not go well with some creators on social media and gave birth to a hilarious video where the creator is just flabbergasted by her answers.
Popular Instagram creator Pushpek Sidhu reacted to Priyanka’s interview, and it appears something broke within him when the actor seemed confused while choosing between samosas and empanadas. While the initial reaction was alright with Pushpek saying, “You know what, we listen and we do not judge,” it all seemed to go downhill from there. The next choice put in front of Priyanka was between enchiladas and chicken tikka masala, and when the actor hesitated in her choice, Pushpek couldn’t believe it. Everything went haywire when Priyanka chose hot dogs over vada pav, and what followed was an over-the-top reaction by the creator.
Priyanka, although, knows how to take a joke and shared the video of the creator on her Instagram stories, where she wrote, “Wow, bro, didn’t know that there was a syllabus for being desi. It’s not that serious.” Pushpek responded to Priyanka and wrote, “I eat, breathe and sleep samosas. My entire personality is samosa. For me, it’s very serious, Priyanka Chopra.” Many fans commented on the video and were equally taken aback by Priyanka’s choices. A user wrote, “She is not our ‘desi’ girl anymore; she is a ‘pardesi’ girl,” while another commented, “Hot dog over vada pav, absolute blasphemy.”
Well, it’s unlikely that Priyanka is going to dwell on what the internet thinks about her food choices, as she is currently enjoying the fruits of her recent labour. Her movie Heads Of State starring Idris Elba and John Cena is making the rounds of Prime Video, and with fairly positive reviews backing it up, the film seems to be doing well.
