Big Brother is back with its 27th season, offering a rebranded take on the iconic reality series, complete with a new theme, fresh houseguests, and an unexpected twist. This year, BB is “A Summer of Mystery.” CBS has dropped the lineup: 16 contestants, from an aura reader to an attorney, insurance agent, podcaster, and more. The guests are already inside the house, along with a secret 17th house guest who snuck in ahead of the premiere. Julie Chen Moonves returns as host, and here’s everything you need to know. 

When and Where to watch Big Brother season 27 (2025)

The season kicked off with a 90-minute premiere on Thursday, July 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. (5:30 AM IST, Friday). 1-hour episodes will air on Sundays and Thursdays. Wednesdays will feature 90-minute episodes all season. If you miss any episode, you can stream it later on Paramount+ at 2 a.m. CT. Meanwhile, live feeds begin on July 13 at 11:30 p.m. CT (10:00 am IST) on Paramount+, giving fans 24/7 access to the house (minus key competitions and private matters).

Big Brother season 27 Summer of Mystery twist

This year, contestants will face a masked visitor, a secret accomplice, and a mystery house guest whose identity will stay hidden, for now. Meanwhile, the whole house had been turned into Hotel Mystère. One can expect creepy reception desk, bunk beds (back for the first time since season 1), and a wine bar with zero wine. There’s also something called the “venom bar,” but according to the host, contestants will bring their venom themselves.

  • 23-year-old Adrian Rocha: carpenter from San Antonio (A Big Brother superfan, thinks he will be the greatest player of all time)
  • 43-year-old Amy Bingham: An insurance agent from Stockton has full faith in her unmatched skills
  • 25-year-old Ashley Hollis: A New York City attorney is ready to get “blood on her hands.”
  • 24-year-old Ava Pearl: She’ll do anything to win the $750K.
  • 50-year-old Clifton William, A podcaster from Charlotte, brings “energy, joy, and love.”
  • 23-year-old Isaiah “Zae” Frederich: Salesperson from Provo, Utah
  • 25-year-old Jimmy Heagerty:  Strategy consultant from D.C, thinks no one can beat him in manipulation
  • 23-year-old Katherine Woodman: Fine dining server  from Columbia, South Carolina
  • 33-year-old Keanu Soto: Personal trainer from Texas, who believes client experience gave him enough edge
  • 29-year-old Kelley Jorgensen: Web designer from South Dakota, doesn’t like whining 
  • 22-year-old Lauren Domingue: Bridal consultant from Louisiana, ready to crush

If you are new to the show, Big Brother’s episodes air three times a week. Every week, someone gets eliminated. 

  • Sundays: Nomination episodes
  • Wednesdays: Power of Veto comps + ceremonies
  • Thursdays: Eviction nights + HOH competitions
  • Last season lasted 100 days. This one is expected to go 90+
