Liam Neeson, 73, and Pamela Anderson, 58, break silence on romance as dating rumours surface: ‘We discovered a silly bone in each other’ | Hollywood News

Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson have been setting off dating rumours, and for good reason. The two are currently co-starring in The Naked Gun, a reboot of the 1988 comedy. And just like in the film, where they play romantic leads, a source told PEOPLE they’ve taken things official off-screen too. Last week in London, Pamela kissed Liam on the cheek, they held hands, and walked the red carpet looking anything but just co-stars. The real talk exploded after a now-viral family photo, both brought their kids. The very next day, they addressed the buzz on Today.

Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson are ‘officially’ dating

According to a source, “It’s a budding romance in the early stages. It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other.” The insider added that 73-year-old Liam and 58-year-old Pamela are “enjoying each other’s company” as they hit the promo trail. At The Naked Gun premiere in New York, both brought their kids to the red carpet for a family photo moment. Liam showed up with Micheál (30) and Daniel (28), his sons with the late Natasha Richardson, while Pamela brought Brandon (29) and Dylan (27), her kids with ex-husband Tommy Lee. On July 29, during their Today show appearance, host Craig Melvin went straight for it: “What’s the deal here? You’re both single, there’s chemistry… are you two an item?” The pair tried to downplay the situation, pretending to get caught making out live on air.

Pamela played dumb, saying she didn’t understand the question. Liam, on the other hand, gave a vague but decent answer, “I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry – as two actors, it’s like, ‘Oh, this is nice. Let’s not mull this. Let’s just let it breathe.’ And that’s what we did,” he added. The host, however, was not satisfied and teased that “America’s here for it,” calling it “the beginning of the breathing of a budding relationship.” Liam responded, “We’re both silly. We discovered a silly bone in each other,” adding, “It was great to be with this lady, seriously. Every day was a joy.”

This isn’t the first time Liam’s gushed about Pamela. Back in October, while promoting the film, he told People he was “madly in love” with her as a co-star. Calling her ego-free, he gushed about how working with her was nothing but a very joyful experience.  Pamela returned the compliments, calling Liam “a perfect gentleman” who once gave her his coat when she was cold. She added, “He brings out the best in you—with respect, kindness and depth.” Still, she hinted at their connection being more platonic than romantic. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, she described their bond as a “forever friendship.” In May, she even called it “professionally romantic.”

Liam, for his part, had said last year he was “past all that” when asked about dating at 72. He was married to Natasha Richardson from 1994 until 2009, when she tragically died after a head injury in a skiing accident in Quebec. Meanwhile, Anderson filed for divorce for the fifth time in 2022, splitting from then-husband Dan Hayhurst.
