Superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently won his maiden National Film Award in 33 years of his acting career and he has been on a high since then. The actor has been engaging on social media to thanks his family, friends, and fans in his own witty style. As SRK’s wife, producer-interior designer Gauri Khan celebrated his victory, the actor had an adorable request from her to ‘brag’ about him at the dinner table. He also thanked Shashi Tharoor in the politician’s style by using complex English words.

The winners list for the 71st National Film Awards was announced a few days ago, and Shah Rukh earned the Best Actor accolade for his film Jawan. His wife Gauri Khan took to social media to express her happiness. Besides her husband, she also congratulated her close friends – filmmaker Karan Johar (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment) and Rani Mukerji (Best Actress category for her Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway).

She also mentioned about being ready to brag about the achievement. Gauri wrote on X, “Three of my absolute favourites just WON big…and so did our hearts (red heart emoji). When talent meets goodness, magic happens – So proud, and so ready to brag about them forever!” The Swades actor gave a humourous response to her tweet later, and wrote, “Please brag about me to me when we sit for dinner tonight… thanks for producing the film.”

Shah Rukh’s witty exchange of replies with Shashi Tharoor also grabbed a lot of eyeballs. The politician wrote on X, “A National Treasure wins a National Award! Congratulations @iamsrk! (sic).” To which, he replied, “Thank u for the simple praise Mr Tharoor. Would not have understood something more magniloquent and sesquipedalian ha ha (sic).” Tharoor is known for his exceptional command on the English language.

SRK thanked each and every celebrity who congratulated him for the National award win on social media. Jawan director Atlee also posted a heartwarming note for him on his X handle. “Feeling blessed, @iamsrk sir. I’m super happy that you’ve got the national award for our movie Jawan. It feels very emotional and inspiring to be part of your journey. Thank you for trusting me and giving this film, sir. It’s just my first love letter to you; a lot more to come, sir,” a part of his letter read. “MAAASSS MAAASSS MAASSS. Thank you for your vision. Only you could do this… In the next song, we will do more steps. Love u,” the actor responded.

He also replied to Riddhi Dogra, who played his mother in Jawan. “The best news. The best film. This fake mother of her Jawan son is over the moon with real joy @iamsrk congratulations ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ bigeesssttt love to you and @Atlee_dir and entire team,” Riddhi write, to which SRK replied, “Big hugs and congratulations… and thank u for mother ka aashirwad!!”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s King. The film also stars his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in key roles.
