The concept is simple. Anyone can now start a Search Party for a missing dog directly through the Ring or Neighbors app, even if they don’t own a Ring camera themselves. Once the report is created, Ring’s AI begins scanning video feeds from nearby outdoor Ring cameras for footage that might include the missing pup.
The AI doesn’t just look for any dog, it tries to match the appearance of the reported missing pet. If it finds something promising, the camera owner receives an alert.
From there, they can choose to share the video with the pet owner through the app, keeping personal details private.
