Bollywood actors and A-list couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan largely keep their personal life out of the limelight. However, Abhishek recently shared insights into the dynamics of the Bachchan household, where multiple actors, including his parents Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and wife Aishwarya Rai, live together under one roof.

Speaking to Zoom about his process as an actor, Abhishek revealed that unlike many actors who prefer to isolate themselves to get into character, he works differently. He said, “I have never felt lost or the need to get away from everything. I am a people person.” The actor admitted that while solitude is essential, he doesn’t enjoy being alone for long periods. “I have my moments when I need my solitude. It is very important and essential for an actor. But not for a longer time. I need someone to talk to,” he said.

Discussing what it’s like living in a house full of actors, Abhishek Bachchan described the experience as amusing and unique. He said, “It’s funny. My household is very funny, and we are all actors. We all like to hang out together, and then suddenly everyone just goes back to their own personal spaces.”

He added, “That comes naturally because for actors it is important to spend time with yourself and get to know yourself. Self-discovery is something that we rarely do. It’s essential, but I would never want to be a loner.”

Abhishek Bachchan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Kaalidhar Laapata, which is set to premiere on ZEE5 on July 4. He has lately been seen playing father figure roles in films like Be Happy and I Want to Talk.

Speaking about this phase in his career and his recurring portrayal of paternal characters, he told The Hollywood Reporter India, “I don’t think I am actively seeking such roles but I have noticed the common thread and I attribute it to the most beautiful woman in the world, my daughter. Artists go through phases in life and when I started with Breathe, then Ludo, Bob, Be Happy, I Wanna Talk, Kaalidhar Laapata – I understood that paternal emotion in those because I was also witnessing and experiencing that in my real life. I don’t know if Aaradhya wasn’t around whether I’d still be experiencing those emotions or feel them as acutely. They also happened because that relationship spoke to me because I used to experience that with her.”
