Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 19 has begun to take shape already. The actor reportedly shot for the show’s promo on Monday, and contestants are still being locked. According to a few media reports, 45 people have been approached for the show this year. Now SCREEN has learned about some new updates related to the show this year, especially about the house, the show’s theme, and some other shoot details.
Bigg Boss 19 premiere and shooting dates
As informed by SCREEN earlier, Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on 30th August and the show will run for five months. Salman Khan will host this season for three months and then return for the grand finale. The remaining two months will have multiple hosts running the show. Now, a source informs us that Salman is likely to shoot for the show’s premiere on the 27th and 28th of August, and on the 29th of August, the contestants’ performances and solo acts will be recorded, after which they will enter the house.
Bigg Boss 19 theme, format, and house
As reported earlier, Bigg Boss 19’s theme is to rewind, where the housemates will play a crucial role in evictions, and the audience will choose who to nominate. However, a theme is yet to be zeroed down on; a fanpage recently shared that Bigg Boss makers will opt for a theme that is heavily influenced by AI. However, a source has recently informed us that there is one big change in the show’s format this year. “This time it won’t be ‘Bigg Boss chahte hai’, it will rather be ‘Bigg Boss janna chahte hai’. The housemates will be running the house completely,” a source told us.
According to the source, contestants will have a free hand in the functioning of the house, from deciding the ration to choosing what tasks to perform and what not, all the calls will be taken by the contestants, and then Bigg Boss will be informed. While the season will come with its challenges, every consequence will result from the choices the contestants make.
Another update is about the Bigg Boss 19 house. While the construction has begun in full swing, the house is expected to be ready by 20th August. Like every year, this year too Omung Kumar and his wife Vanita Garud are designing the space.
Bigg Boss 19 contestants
Recently, the Bigg Boss Taza Khabar account revealed on Instagram that Miley Jab Hum Tum actress Rati Pandey has been approached for the show. Earlier, the page had announced that Hunar Hali, Apoorva Mukhija, Mr Faisu, Dhanashree Verma, Sreeram Chandra, Meera Deosthale, and Bhavika Sharma were almost confirmed to join the show. Others who have been approached are actors Dheeraj Dhoopar, Shraddha Arya, Karan Singh Grover, Arohi Khurana, Zayn Saifi, Nazim Ahmed, Gaurav Taneja, Madalsa Sharma, Kanika Mann, Khushi Dubey, amongst others.
A UAE-based robot, Habubu, was also reported to appear on the show; however, our source tells us that the robot might not be able to come on the show.
Recently, Salman Khan also spoke about his 15-year association with Bigg Boss.
