Actress Dipika Kakar is currently undergoing treatment for liver cancer. Following her surgery in June, she began targeted therapy in July. In one of her earlier vlogs, Dipika shared that she was experiencing minor side effects from the treatment. In her latest vlog, the actress revealed that she has contracted a viral infection, which has taken a toll on her health. She also mentioned that her immunity has weakened as a result of the ongoing treatment.
Giving an update on her health, Dipika said in her latest vlog, “My condition has been quite bad. I caught the viral infection that Ruhaan had, and in my case, it has gotten severe because I am undergoing treatment, because of which my immunity is low. Doctor Somnath had told us earlier only that he needs to be contacted if I catch any viral infection or fever. I have been prescribed a very heavy dosage of antibiotics and anti-allergy medicines, which is taking a toll on me. I hope I feel better soon. Yesterday, I had lots of weakness.”
In May, Dipika Kakar had announced on social media that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. Earlier this year, Dipika had to quit Celebrity MasterChef due to health reasons.
While Dipika Kakar’s acting career is currently on the back burner, the actress remains active as a content creator on YouTube. Recently, she crossed the milestone of 4 million subscribers on her channel. The Sasural Simar Ka star has also launched her own fashion label. On the acting front, she is rumored to be making a comeback with an Ekta Kapoor show, also starring Vivian Dsena.
