Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 5: Having opened to scathing reviews from all quarters, it seems that Pawan Kalyan’s period action-adventure Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 is struggling to brave the storm and is showcasing a surprising — or rather shocking — performance at the box office. However, considering the movie was mounted on a huge budget, it’s still far from breaking even. With Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated spy actioner Kingdom gearing up for release in two days, it remains to be seen if Hari Hara Veera Mallu will emerge as a hit.

Although the movie received extremely poor responses from both the audience and critics, the Pawan Kalyan film has managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark globally in just five days. Thanks to a strong opening weekend performance, the movie has also registered a decent total domestic collection. However, on Monday, Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s daily earnings witnessed a steep fall of 78.11 per cent, compared to its collection on Sunday.

Failing the crucial first Monday test miserably, Hari Hara Veera Mallu managed to record an India nett collection of just Rs 2.32 crore, bringing its total to Rs 77.57 crore, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk. Although the movie had opened to a whopping Rs 34.75 crore in the domestic market on Thursday, after minting Rs 12.75 crore from paid premieres held on Wednesday, its collection has been dipping significantly since then.

While it registered an India nett of just Rs 8 crore on Friday, the earnings improved slightly during the weekend and Hari Hara Veera Mallu recorded Rs 9.15 crore and Rs 10.6 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 300 crore, the period action-adventure’s worldwide gross currently stands at Rs 102.7 crore.

On Monday, the movie witnessed an overall occupancy of 15.68 per cent in the Telugu market. While the morning shows commenced with a meagre 13.31 per cent occupancy, the rate improved only slightly as the day unfolded, with the afternoon, evening and night screenings registering 15.62 per cent, 16.53 per cent and 17.25 per cent, respectively. Going by Sacnilk, the movie’s Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam versions didn’t contribute anything significant to the collection figures.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and AM Jyothi Krishna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 features Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal and Sathyaraj in key roles. While its cinematography was handled by Gnana Shekar VS and Manoj Paramahamsa, its editing was handled by Praveen KL, with the music being crafted by MM Keeravani.
