“Hum kitne gareeb hai (We are so poor),” were the words of Dilip, Farah Khan’s now-famous cook, as he and Farah visited actor/producer Jackky Bhagnani and actor Rakul Preet Singh’s luxurious apartment in the Puja Casa building in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hill, Bandra. While Bollywood personalities exchanged recipes, discussed food and films, the highlight of the video was a look inside Jackky and Rakul’s lavish apartment.
Massive living space with high ceiling
The video begins with Farah and Dilip entering the apartment’s lift lobby, which itself was so big that Dilip called it a ‘hall’. As soon as you enter the house, you walk into a massive living space furnished with cozy sofas made of different materials. What catches the eye is the high ceiling of the living area, which is very rare to find in Mumbai apartments. The house is decorated with marble and wooden furniture and exhibits paintings that have been collected by Jackky’s mother, Pooja Bhagnani, over the years.

Awed by the house, Farah asks Jackky the secret behind being rich — whether it’s film production or real estate, like his father Vishu Bhagnani. Responding to the same, he said, “Films will always be first love but…” hinting that his family made money from the real estate business.

Island kitchen equal to the size of Farah Khan’s hall
Seeing the expanse of the house, Farah couldn’t help but quip that they could get their steps in just by walking inside the massive apartment. However, she was in for more surprises after she saw the massive island kitchen of the house. “This kitchen is as large as my hall,” she said. Farah also noted that the kitchen had two large fridges and four microwave ovens. In her vlog, Jackky and Rakul also introduced their helping staff of 5–6 members, including 3 cooks.

Two pools, one converted to outdoor sitting space
The Bollywood couple then took Farah to their swimming pool area. Jackky explained that the apartment originally had two pools, but because they are hard to maintain, they recreated one pool into an outdoor sitting area with plants. The couple’s apartment still has one pool that gives a view of the city and features a patio area perfect for parties and hosting.

Den with a bar
The couple then took Farah to their den, which had an open bar. Jackky admitted that he had hosted a lot of parties in the den when he was a bachelor; however, after his marriage, Rakul transformed it into a family room. The den looked cozy with leather sofas and big windows providing a view of the city.

Jackky and Rakul are Shah Rukh Khan’s neighbours
Jackky and Rakul’s apartment is in the Puja Casa building. The Bhagnani family owns multiple floors of the same building. As per a report in Hindustan Times, the family recently leased 2 duplex apartments to Shah Rukh Khan as the actor’s bungalow, Mannat, went under renovation. Shah Rukh and his family has made Puja Casa their temporary home. The superstar pays a rent of Rs 25.15 lakh per month and has leased the apartments for two to three years.
