After a remarkable reception at Cannes, the film Homebound is all set for a screening at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Co-stars Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa’s reunion was made extra special as they recreated their version of song “Bijuria,” from Janhvi and Varun Dhwan’s upcoming film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan. The clip has left fans delighted.
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, who made their Bollywood debuts together in the film Dhadak (2018) and also worked together in Homebound, recreated the song “Bijuria” from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, leaving fans nostalgic and thrilled to see their chemistry. Varun Dhawan shared this reaction on the clip.
In the video, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter can be seen matching steps to the song. The clip statrs Homebound director Neeraj Ghaywan, followed by Vishal, Janhvi and Ishaan dancing their heart out. Their playful camaraderie and effortless moves has left the netizens impressed.
Sharing the clip, Janhavi wrote, “Humein laage na nazariya 🧿 #Bijuria #homebound ❤️.” Actor Varun Dhawan reacted by saying, “Soo good 🙌,” while Dharma Movies wrote, “This crossover is no less than⚡⚡⚡.” Actor Rohit Saraf too reacted by saying, “Hahahaha too good.”
More than two decades after recording his hit track “Bijuria”, singer Sonu Nigam’s hit track is now enjoying a revival in Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

Earlier, sharing a selfie with the Homebound team as they got together to leave for the gala event, Ishaan Khatter wrote, “TIFF bound!! #Homebound ❤️.” Director Neeraj Ghaywan shared earlier via Instagram, “Very happy to announce! After @festivaldecannes, Homebound has been officially selected at the Toronto International Film Festival 2025 (@tiff_net). Gala Presentations category.”
Homebound tells the story of two childhood friends, Shoaib Ali (played by Ishaan) and Chandan Kumar (portrayed by Vishal), who grow up in a North Indian village with dreams of escaping the weight of their marginalised identities. Their journey, however, takes a turbulent turn as circumstances trigger both internal and external conflicts that put their friendship to the test.
The film has already made waves internationally after premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, though its theatrical release date in India is yet to be revealed. Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan’s upco0ming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will hit the screens on October 2. It also stars Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf.
