Jurassic World Rebirth Box Office Collection Day 2: Jurassic World Rebirth released in India on July 4, earning Rs 9 crore nett on its opening day — the highest debut for any film in the Jurassic franchise in the country. On Day 2, the seventh installment saw a remarkable 44.44% jump in box office collections.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 13 crore nett across all languages on its second day, bringing its total Indian box office collection to Rs 22 crore.
On Saturday, Jurassic World Rebirth recorded an overall English occupancy of 46.21%, with Tamil shows at 40.45% and Hindi shows at 30.60%. The film, released in both 3D and 2D formats, saw decent footfall across both versions.
The movie opened to mixed reviews worldwide. The Indian Express’ Shalini Langer wrote in her review, “This is the seventh film in the Jurassic series, and the wonder of seeing dinosaurs stride across the screen has naturally worn off over the past 30 years. The best Edwards and Koepp can hope for is awe, and Rebirth does capture that – till it decides to go on and on, and starts repeating itself.”
Despite the reviews, Jurassic World Rebirth has been going strong at the worldwide box office with $137 million in the US, and $260 million globally so far.
The Gareth Edwards directorial is produced by The Kennedy/Marshall Company, and Amblin Entertainment, and distributed by Universal Pictures. Jurassic World Rebirth stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ed Skrein, and Luna Blaise in key roles.
