Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry are painting the town red, and while they’ve kept quiet about their back-to-back appearances, their actions are doing all the talking. The former Canadian Prime Minister was recently caught busting some moves at Perry’s sold-out Lifetimes Tour stop at Montreal’s Bell Centre, and fans couldn’t help but draw comparisons to Orlando Bloom, who hardly attended any of her gigs. Trudeau’s appearance comes just a day after the two were spotted out on a dinner date in Montreal.

Trudeau was spotted up front at the concert, dressed in a black tee, eyes locked on the singer almost the entire time. In one clip, the 53-year-old can be seen belting out “Firework” word for word as Perry lit up the stage in a packed stadium. He was reportedly joined by his daughter Ella-Grace, 16, who was caught mouthing lyrics to “Dark Horse” with him. But it was Trudeau who looked completely taken, especially as Perry showed off her usual onstage athleticism. Fans flooded the comment section calling the duo a dream pairing. Unlike Bloom, whose early days with Perry saw a fair share of fan pushback, Trudeau seems to already have the internet’s blessing. One person joked, “Bro must be DOWN BAD if he’s willing to go to a Lifetimes concert.” Another added, “Imagine scoring good seats and spotting a former head of state vibing with his new girlfriend.”

Some even took shots at Perry’s ex, Orlando Bloom, whom she recently split from after nearly a decade together and four years engaged. The couple, in a joint statement, said they were parting ways amicably and would co-parent their daughter.. “Finally a love interest that actually shows up and supports her. Ended Orlando Bum, like he should,” one person commented on a video online. “This is what true love looks like. The most important thing besides health and being alive,” said another of Trudeau. “I love everything about this. And I’m so happy for JT,” a third chimed in. “Thank god, better than Orlando,” someone else added.

Trudeau, who quietly separated from longtime wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage, shares three kids with her. The announcement came via his social media during a rough patch politically. “It hurts deeply. You know, marriage is ‘success.’ Separation and divorce is ‘failure,’ ” Trudeau’s ex-wife Grégoire, said on the Next Question With Katie Couric podcast in May 2024. Since then, things with Perry seem to be heating up fast. They were recently seen having dinner in Montreal, followed by drinks at a bar. A day later, they were spotted walking her dog together, changed outfits, and then stepped out again for another date. So far, neither Trudeau nor Perry has spoken about this new connection.
