Ever since Ekta Kapoor announced the revival of the cult-classic Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, fans have been eagerly awaiting its return. The show marked its 25th anniversary on July 3, and the promo for the new season was initially scheduled to release on the same day. However, due to unforeseen delays and creative challenges, both the promo and the season launch were postponed. Now, Ekta Kapoor has finally unveiled the first glimpse of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, featuring Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay reprising their iconic roles as Tulsi and Mihir Virani.
The first promo features a family of four reminiscing about Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi while dining at a restaurant. The scene then transitions to Smriti Irani’s iconic character, Tulsi, watering a tulsi plant at home. She then announces that the beloved show is finally making its return after 25 years.

While the new season Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi aims to retain the charm of the original, Ekta Kapoor reportedly plans to infuse the storyline with a modern sensibility. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is expected to resonate with younger audiences as well.

Last week, the cast shot for the show’s promo song at a studio in Vasai. Today, Smriti Irani’s first look from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 was also officially shared with fans.
The new season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has faced a few creative challenges as it went on floors. However, things have been brought on track now, and the shoot has begun.
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 will air on Star Plus from July 29 at 10:30 pm. Other than Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, Hiten Tejwani and his wife, Gauri Pradhan, are also confirmed to be a part of the new season.
