Bigg Boss 19 Tentative Contestants: It’s time once again for the biggest reality show on Indian television to return with a new season. A few months ago, SCREEN had exclusively confirmed that Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan. is indeed returning. However, there has not been much buzz around this season or its contestants. Now, as we approach the season’s premiere, we have additional updates on the show’s release date, format, duration, and more.
A source has confirmed to SCREEN that the show will indeed go on air in August, and a final date is yet to be locked. Earlier, it was said that the show would premiere on August 2, but that won’t happen. Also, this year, the makers will start with the main season on TV and then, after 3 and a half to four months, the show will head into the OTT version. While Banijay Asia will produce the show, it will feature on Viacom 18 channels only.

Bigg Boss 19 will have the Rewind theme this year
Salman Khan will host this season, and the tentative theme for the show this year is Rewind. As per a source, a lot of features and formats in the show will be changed this time. The concept of Secret Rooms that existed in earlier seasons, where the bottom two contestants who are nominated will be isolated and see the game from that room.
Also, the contestants will not have the power to nominate; that will happen through audience voting; however, it would be the contestants who might play an important role in evicting their fellow players. Simultaneously, tasks would decide if the contestants will get their weekly ration or not; if a task gets canceled, the contestants might have to stay hungry through the week.
Contestants on Bigg Boss 19
While there have been rumors that this season would only have actors, that is not true. A few social media influencers have also been approached to be on the show. Here is the very first list of contestants who we might get to see this season:
1. Ram Kapoor and Gautami Kapoor
Actor Ram Kapoor, who has recently been in the news for several reasons, will reportedly be participating in this season along with his wife, Gautami Kapoor.
2. Dheeraj Dhoopar
Dheeraj Dhoopar, popularly known for his role in Kundali Bhagya, has also reportedly signed the dotted line for Bigg Boss 19.
3. Alisha Panwar
Actress Alisha Panwar made her debut in the Colors TV show Ishq Mein Marjawan, and now she is rumoured to participate in the latest season of Bigg Boss.
4. Krishna Shroff
Fitness influencer Krishna Shroff is actor Jackie Shroff’s daughter, and Tiger Shroff’s sister. After her last stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, she is reportedly all set to enter Salman Khan’s show.
5. Raj Kundra
Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was last seen on The Traitors and he is rumored to take up this reality show next.
6. Anita Hassanandani
Actress Anita Hassanandani, who made her comeback on TV with Colors TV show Suman Indori, is rumored to participate in the latest season of Bigg Boss. However, this name seems unlikely as Anita is already doing another reality show on Zee TV called Gori Chali Gaon.
7. Munmun Dutta
Actress Munmun Dutta, popularly known as Babitaji from Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is also amongst the contestants expected to be seen on the reality show this year. However, Munmun continues to be seen on the show, which makes the possibility of her participation unlikely.
8. Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast

Social media influencer Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast had a controversial stint on Shark Tank India 4 this year and now he will reportedly be seen as a contestant on the Salman Khan-hosted show.
9. Kanika Mann
Popularly known for her role in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paaega, Kanika Mann is actively doing Punjabi films now.
10. Apoorva Mukhija aka Rebel Kid
After being embroiled in the India’s Got Latent controversy, content creator Apoorva Mukhija is currently seen on The Traitors.
11. Daisy Shah
Salman Khan’s co-star from Jai Ho, Daisy Shah, is rumored to be taking up Bigg Boss 19. Her team has neither confirmed nor denied the reports.
12. Mr Faisu
Popular social media influencer, Mr Faisu, has had a bittersweet year. After the breakup with Jannat Zubair, he also failed to lift Celebrity MasterChef trophy.
13. Khushi Dubey
Actress Khushi Dubey has gained immense popularity for her Star Plus show Aashiqana. She has also appeared in a few films in the past.
14. Arshifa Khan
According to reports, social media influencer and actor Arshifa Khan will also be seen on Salman Khan’s reality show.

Actress Tanushree Dutta has been away from the limelight and she is now rumored to be seen on the show.

Actor Sharad Malhotra has been offered the show many times over the years, and he seems to have finally said yes to it this year.
