Good news for fans of The Family Man: creators Raj & DK and lead actor Manoj Bajpayee are officially returning with a brand-new season of the hit series. Streaming platform Amazon Prime Video released an official announcement video today, confirming that Season 3 is on its way. The upcoming season will see Manoj Bajpayee reprising his iconic role as Srikant Tiwari, often referred to as the “James Bond of Chembur.” Joining him once again are key cast members including Priyamani (Suchitra Tiwari), Sharib Hashmi (JK Talpade), Ashlesha Thakur (Dhriti Tiwari), and Vedant Sinha (Atharv Tiwari), among others.
Adding to the excitement is the introduction of new characters played by acclaimed actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur. Jaideep, known for his role in Paatal Lok, joins the series as a primary antagonist. A brief glimpse of his character was teased in the announcement video. Nimrat Kaur will also feature as a formidable new adversary whom Srikant will have to confront.
The central conflict for Srikant Tiwari has always been balancing national duty with his responsibilities at home. In the Season 3 announcement video, when a stranger asks him what he does for a living, he replies in his trademark dry humour, “I’m a life and relationship counsellor.”
Season 2 of The Family Man concluded on an intriguing note, hinting at a new geopolitical angle involving the Northeast, as well as the mysterious mission codenamed “Project Guan Yu.” The finale also left viewers with a cliff-hanger, a tense moment between Srikant and Suchitra, as she appeared on the verge of revealing a life-altering secret, casting uncertainty over their relationship.
