Far from the rush and bustle of India, where their sightings or even the mere mention of their names would send fans into a frenzy, cricketer and former Indian team captain Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actor-producer Anushka Sharma, were spotted placidly enjoying an important Wimbledon 2025 match. Held in the London suburb of Wimbledon, the power couple had arrived to watch a match between tennis legend Novak Djokovic and Australian player Alex de Minaur.
Now, photos showing Kohli and Sharma immersed in the match and enjoying quality time together have gone viral on social media. Later, Kohli himself took to social media, sharing a post expressing immense happiness over Djokovic’s victory. “What a match. It was business as usual for the gladiator,” he wrote while posting a photo of the match on his Instagram stories. Resharing Kohli’s story, Djokovic expressed gratitude to the legendary cricketer. “Thank you for supporting 💪🙏,” he noted.
As for the match itself, Djokovic has reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the 16th time by defeating Alex de Minaur in the match held on Monday. Djokovic is currently aiming to secure a record 25th Grand Slam title at Wimbledon 2025.
While the Indian cricket team is currently touring England for a five-Test series, Virat Kohli, who recently announced his retirement from the Test format, is spending quality time with his family in the same country. Kohli and Sharma, along with their two children, relocated to London in 2024, seeking a more private environment to raise their kids away from the public eye. The couple, who tied the knot in Italy in December 2017, welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021, and their son, Akaay, in 2024.
Virat Kohli took to social media later and shared a post expressing immense happiness over Novak Djokovic’s victory.
Following his retirement from T20 Internationals in 2024, Kohli bid farewell to the Test format in May this year. “It’s been 14 years since I first wore the baggy blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined the journey this format would take me on. It’s tested me, shaped me, and taught me lessons I’ll carry for life. There’s something deeply personal about playing in whites. The quiet grind, the long days, the small moments that no one sees but that stay with you forever,” he wrote on Instagram while announcing his retirement.

“As I step away from this format, it’s not easy — but it feels right. I’ve given it everything I had, and it’s given me back so much more than I could’ve hoped for. I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude — for the game, for the people I shared the field with, and for every single person who made me feel seen along the way. I’ll always look back at my Test career with a smile,” he added.
