Pakistani actor, model, and reality TV star Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her apartment in Karachi on Tuesday. According to a report in Dawn, the actor was living on rent, and her decomposed body was discovered after the authorities broke the locks to enter the property. Humaira’s body has been was shifted to a medical centre for a post-mortem examination.

A police official, South DIG Syed Asad Raza, confirmed the news to the website, saying that the 32-year-old actor was found dead in her rented flat located on the fourth floor of a building in Ittehad Commercial, Phase VI. The DIG also shared that Humaira’s body had been lying in the apartment for several days. However, police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed stated that the body was in a “very advanced stage of decomposition.”

The police sprang into action after Humaira’s landlord filed a police complaint, accusing her of not paying rent since 2024. The court then ordered the flat to be vacated. It was only after the court’s order that the police entered the flat and discovered Humaira’s body.

The police are not suspecting any foul play in the matter, as all the doors of the apartment were locked from the inside. The news of Humaira’s death comes shortly after another Pakistani TV actor, Ayesha Khan, was found dead last month in her apartment.

Who was Humaira Asghar Ali?

Humaira Asghar Ali was born in Lahore. She received formal training in Visual and Performing Arts at the National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore and the College of Art & Design (PUCAD). She began her modelling career in 2013 and later ventured into the television industry. She played supporting roles in shows like Just Married, Ehsaan Faramosh, Guru, and Chal Dil Mere. She also appeared in films like Jalaibee (2015) and Love Vaccine (2021). She gained popularity after joining the reality TV show Tamasha Ghar, which aired on ARY Digital.
