Originally slated for release on July 25, Son of Sardaar 2 was pushed to August 1. Looks like these two films will face a big challenge at the box office with Saiyaara’s continuing its strong run, and also Mahavatar Narsimha’s growing numbers. South actor Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, which was recently released in theatres too has earned well on its first day. And looks like this latest release too can be a threat the films.
Dhadak 2’s production house, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is going the Kesari 2 way with this film. It’s releasing only in 1000 screens across India, focusing on the urban centres, with more screens expected to add in case the word of mouth is in their favour.
In order to attract footfalls, both the new releases — Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2 — are offering 50% discounts on ticket prices using certain coupon codes.
