Actor Biju Menon is celebrating his birthday today, and the veteran Malayalam artist turns 55 this year. On the occasion, director Jeethu Joseph took to his social media handle to post the first character poster from his upcoming film titled Valathu Vashathe Kallan, a police procedural, which stars Biju Menon and Joju George in the lead roles. He also added the caption wishing the actor, “Wishing Anthony Xavier a very Happy Birthday.”
Biju Menon can be seen in the stylishly designed poster framed in the center with police officers trying to pave the way for him through a crowd of onlookers and media. Biju Menon, donning a black shirt and khaki pants, is surely playing a cop in the film.

Valathu Vashathe Kallan, was announced a few months back and has been in various stages of pre-production for sometime. Other than the character name for Biju Menon, nothing has been revealed yet by the team regarding the story line or plot details of the film. Joju’s character poster might be released in the coming few days. Valathu Vashathe Kallan, penned by Dinu Thomas Eelan is expected to a hard hitting thriller in the lines of Jeethu Joseph’s Kooman and revolves around the lives of two cops. Biju Menon played a major role in the recently released Tamil film Madharaasi alongside Sivarakarthikeyan.
The project is bankrolled jointly by August Cinemas and Goodwill Entertainments has wrapped production recently. Jeethu Joseph has two projects coming out simultaneously with the Asif Ali starrer crime thriller Mirage and Biju Menon’s Valathu Vashathe Kallan in the coming few months. The director in a recent media interaction announced that he is done with the final draft of the much anticipated Drishyam 3. The film is soon to be getting into production in the month of September with most of the shooting set to happen in and around Thodupuzha with Mohanlal and Meena returning to play their characters. Valathu Vashathe Kallan, will be releasing towards the latter half of this year.
